The South Carolina Department of Insurance (Project Impact) conference “SC Safe Home Expo” is scheduled for August 9th through the 11th in North Charleston, SC. The event includes a Safe Home Fair, open and free to the public and a series of seminars for professionals in related fields.

August 9th – SC Safe Home Fair – Open to the public
- 1:00 – 5:00 pm
- Exhibits
- Learn about tax credits, hurricane preparedness, grants*, catastrophe savings accounts, insurance and more.
August 10th and 11th – Conference/Expo – Registration Required
- 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- CE Credits available for realtors, contractors, code officials, insurance producers/agents and home inspectors.
- Seminars to include: WCE Inspector classes, 2008 NEC Training and Blueprint for Safety.

*South Carolina Hurricane Damage Mitigation Program
The SC Safe Home Grant Program was established by the Omnibus Insurance Reform Act of 2007 and offers grants for South Carolinians to strengthen their homes against damage resulting from the high winds of hurricanes and severe storms.
